Stacey Hunter is an Edinburgh-based independent craft and design curator, and the founder of Local Heroes. Through her unconventional design-centred experiences, events, exhibitions and cultural projects, she connects new audiences with craft and design. 
 
As Creative Director of Dundee Design Festival 2024, Stacey developed a radically non-traditional system for the display of over 180 objects and installations that focused on the reuse of locally derived materials.

Since 2017, Stacey has written a monthly design and craft series for The Skinny. Her first degree was in Jewellery and Silversmithing from Duncan of Jordanstone and her PhD was awarded by the University of Edinburgh’s architecture school. 

Craft Scotland was delighted to be working with Stacey as the Guest Curator and producer of HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair.
