Working in partnership, Craft Scotland and Emergents created this pavilion to present the very best in contemporary Scottish contemporary craft and design. 22 emerging and established designer/makers from across Scotland were selected by an industry panel to take part in the Scotland: Craft & Design pavilion. Each maker’s exceptional work covered a broad range of techniques and processes, and demonstrated the breadth and quality of the sector. Visitors discovered a curated collection of ceramics, lighting, jewellery, glass, furniture, textiles, and more.

The pavilion featured a custom-made stand designed by award-winning Scottish design studio, GRAS. They won the prestigious Grand Prix award at The Drum’s Scottish Design Awards for the Scotland: Craft & Design 2016 pavilion design.

The selection panel:

  • Jimmy Macdonald: Founder and Director, London Design Fair (Tent London & Super Brands London)
  • Jo Scott: Project Manager, Craft Scotland
  • Natalie Melton: Co-Founder and Managing Director, The New Craftsmen
  • Pamela Conacher: Director, Emergents
